What makes a good school?
Many teachers start their careers full of ideals and then suffer a practical shock. They realise that the children are not so easily infected by their own enthusiasm and that they are confronted with many difficulties in everyday life: Children with learning difficulties, behavioural problems, dissatisfied parents and sometimes a team or school management that offer little help.
But especially when you have been teaching for a few years, have perhaps become accustomed to many routines, are a little disillusioned or even feel trapped in a system that seems to allow little room for manoeuvre, it is important to reconnect with your own motivation, to ask yourself what you started out for and what you want to achieve together with your class.
What does it take to make school a place where everyone - pupils, teachers and parents - feel comfortable and can learn from each other? What is your personal vision? And how do you ensure that you can realise it? These are the questions addressed in the first episode.
