Resilience: Our topic in June
We all fall, but some of us get up again more quickly. How do we do that? The magic word is resilience. It enables people to maintain their courage and mental health despite difficulties and crises. Where does this resilience come from? And how can we pass it on to children? This is what our dossier «Resilience - the soul's immune system» is all about.
Three more reading recommendations from the June issue:
- «Attachment-orientated parents like to elevate themselves above those who don't manage it so well. With parenting. The diet. The educationally valuable wooden toys,» writes bestselling author Nora Imlau in her essay «Classism in the nursery». An uncomfortable, important text.
- We spoke to paediatrician Herbert Renz-Polster about successful parenting and what makes a good childhood. One of his statements has stuck with me in particular: «As a family, we don't have to live in such a way that children always think we're great.»
- Young people love e-cigarettes. The «vapes» come across as playful - but they are harmful. And they are addictive.

I wish you an exciting read.
Yours sincerely,
Yours, Nik Niethammer
