«Exhibitions should awaken the joy of learning»
Mrs Lozza, what is the Digital Museum of Learning?
It is a freely accessible online museum that brings living learning experiences into the classroom or home. There are so many interesting educational museums and cultural institutions that are real treasure troves of knowledge and cultural heritage. They house works of art and historical artefacts with a highly exciting history - but this does not get through to children, teachers and parents because the institutions are not well known or the objects are gathering dust in the archives.
The content should be closely related to the children's world.
We digitise this content and bring it back to life in formats suitable for children. To do this, we work with museums all over the world. For them, our online museum is an opportunity to connect with a young audience.

What can visitors expect?
Carefully curated, independently researched exhibitions for children aged 7 to 12, designed to stimulate their curiosity and enjoyment of learning. Our first exhibition «Making the environment a topic» is currently online. It comprises ten stories on various aspects of environmental education.
We deliberately speak of stories, not exhibits, because the content should be closely related to the children's world. Accordingly, they are conveyed using a variety of media formats, be it picture series, 3D models, timelines or animations. Many enable interactive discovery, for example through puzzles or games such as the «London Monster Soup» on the subject of water pollution. For each story, children will also find freely accessible, further resources on the respective topic.
What does the integrated teaching portal offer teachers?
Teachers can register there free of charge and compile all available stories individually, customise them or link them to their own resources. They can share this learning path with the class as an online learning tool and track the activities and progress of individual pupils.
