Accompanying children's play - what makes sense?

Play plays a central role in children's development and at the same time shows the stage of their development. In his lecture, Oskar Jenni explains why children play and explains the different forms of play and children's willingness to play.

Prof. Dr Oskar Jenni has headed the Department of Developmental Paediatrics at the University Children's Hospital Zurich since 2005; the paediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist is also Associate Professor of Developmental Paediatrics ad personam at the University of Zurich. His areas of research include sleep behaviour in childhood and the motor, cognitive and social development of healthy and sick children.
