10 things that make your child happy
Oscar Wilde said: «Being well brought up is a great disadvantage these days. It excludes you from so much.» We think so: That's right! And plead in favour of a childhood with fun and a little bit of nonsense. We have ten tried-and-tested tips for you and your children to take a break from everyday life .
These are our 10 tips:
- There is no «no» today. Say «yes» to everything for one day.
- Nobody has to get dressed for a day unless he or she is cold.
- Reverse the daily routine: Eat dinner in the morning and breakfast in the evening. Dress appropriately for the time of day, of course.
- Think about your daughter's or son's imagination: maybe he or she has a funny idea?
- Lie on a meadow with your child with your eyes closed. Whoever sneezes, scratches or blinks first must pull the other person up.
- Give the toothbrush a new hairstyle with nail scissors. The pointed mohawk brushes can also be given to other family members.
- Your child is allowed to do your make-up, hair and clothes - this naturally applies to mum and dad.
- Play hunter-gatherer and look for something edible somewhere in nature. It doesn't matter whether you're picking strawberries, stealing a few raspberries from the neighbour's bush or sucking fine clover blossoms in the forest.
- Better than Mr Bean: go for a walk, go shopping or to a café barefoot and pretend nothing is wrong. Or put on winter boots (in summer). Or ski boots. And enjoy the irritated faces with your child.
- Give a spontaneous house concert or - for the particularly brave - a street performance on your doorstep. If music is not your thing, give away muffins or homemade iced tea with your child in the neighbourhood.
