We did it again! Second Q-Award for Fritz+Fränzi

The Swiss parents' magazine Fritz+Fränzi was named the best trade magazine of the year for the second time after 2014 and honoured with the Q-Award. This has never happened before!

«Is it even possible to win the Q-Award as the best Swiss trade publication of the year twice? We weren't sure and the jury also had to think about it for a moment. There has never been a case like this before,» says Andreas Häuptli, Managing Director of the Swiss Media Association. But then the decision was made: «If a media product is able to successfully reposition itself and its performance can withstand the critical appraisal of the jury, it must be possible to win the award a second time,» said Häuptli in his laudatory speech at the awards ceremony on Wednesday evening.

The fact that the Swiss parents' magazine Fritz+Fränzi pursues a successful strategy on several channels was particularly emphasised at the award ceremony. The following were praised:

Deputy Publishing Director Patrik Luther emphasises: «The quality of each and every member of our small, fine publishing and editorial team sets us apart. It's a pleasure to work with colleagues who all put their heart and soul into the Swiss parenting magazine Fritz+Fränzi.» Many of the employees are mothers and fathers themselves and are happy to accept the family-friendly opportunity to work part-time or from home.

Over the past four years, the magazine has been able to increase its readership by over 20 per cent with a constant circulation and an increase of 24,000 readers. Newsletter subscribers have increased eight-fold in the same period and the average online user has even increased seventeen-fold .
The Q jury judged the parents' magazine Fritz+Fränzi as «impressive proof that with a consistent strategy, a clear target group focus and an agile use of all available media channels, a print product can be turned into a media brand that not only impresses with impressive user and performance data, but is also successful in terms of revenue.»
Patrik Luther says that he is particularly proud that the award was given for the overall performance of the editorial team and publishing house. «The readers enjoy the highest priority with us. This can be seen in the diversity and enormous depth of the content. In the advertising market, the fact that we deliberately don't cater for every advertising trend presents us with major challenges. It is precisely under these difficult conditions that our sales staff and back office team do an outstanding job.»
