I actually wanted to learn a trade, such as automotive mechatronics or carpentry. But during my taster course, I realised that you mostly work on your own in these jobs. I missed being around people. My teacher recommended that I try a taster course at a foundation for people with disabilities.
I liked it right away. They are the dearest people I know. Supporting them in things they enjoy doing gives me pleasure. Immediately after the trial apprenticeship, I applied to the Foundation for Independent and Assisted Living and after a while I was offered the apprenticeship.

Our clients live with us in residential groups and work in studios. I spent the last four months in a residential group, but now I'm returning to the studio. In addition to caring for the residents, I plan their activities and write reports on their progress.
