Parenthood in a state of emergency

Dear parents,
Children are generally sensitive, they sense that something is different. Especially when contact with grandparents is interrupted, when things that are taken for granted are no longer possible, a child will start to worry. Even if they don't ask, talk to your child.
In times of crisis, managers are expected to provide tangible leadership and guidance, to convey stability and security and to lead their company out of the crisis as unscathed as possible.
As a manager, I think about how I can take something positive out of the crisis. Are there things that inspire and strengthen us, that give us momentum beyond the crisis? Do the same, dear parents, because these days the distraction and sensory overload for your child is decreasing - this is your chance!

Launch a joint project with your child now: build a cat staircase together, build a new desk or shelf for your child, create a herb garden on your balcony, rummage around for plants that you can give to your child. Repaint your rooms and give your home a new, colourful coat of paint. Finally give your bikes some love. Declutter. Start preparing for Easter. How about a modelling kit? There's so much to do.
Spend time with your family, especially now, and let your children
feel that they are the most important thing in your life through special care and security.

Dear parents, take the lead!
Schools are closed - and single parents are particularly challenged.
challenged. More than ever, they are left to their own devices and have to bend even more
to cope with the organisation of their family.
Dear employers: Please take special care of your employees and be family-friendly. Understand that you will reap the thanks of your employees in the form of tangible loyalty. Family friendliness pays off for your company.

All parents who do not have their own subscription to the Swiss parents' magazine Fritz+Fränzi are normally supplied with a magazine at loose intervals via the school. During the period of school closures, the Elternsein Foundation is offering these parents the opportunity to have the current issue of «Fritz+Fränzi» delivered to their home address free of charge as part of a solidarity campaign. Take good care of yourself and your loved ones and do something good for yourself every day.
Children need strong parents, and rested parents are strong parents!
