Not without my kindergarten bag! Or is it?
I'm confused. We've only just come to terms with the idea that our little darling will be away at nursery every morning from August. At lunchtime and in the afternoons, perhaps at after-school care and oh, our mum's heart (and dad's heart too, of course) has suffered.
Shoulder bag or rucksack for the Chindsgi?
But this quiet suffering is nothing compared to the earthquake that this question triggers: What, you don't have a kindergarten bag yet? But what does Mila-Nina-Timo-Luca go to kindergarten with? Isn't that uuu important?
«What do you mean you don't have a kindergarten bag yet?»
Entire group discussions on Facebook centre around the best daycare bags and, of course, the matching, hermetically sealed, hard snack box. I'm on the edge of my seat, or rather on the sheet that could be used to make my daughter's beautiful bag.
Including favourite animal, initials or star sign, if desired. My suggestion that my daughter already has a rucksack that she loves to wear is generally ignored. It has to be a kindergarten bag, preferably given to her by her godmother.
I'm torn and torn. My shopping instinct is awakened. Surely there are some nice bags. Do we want to go out together? Maybe one that one of the brothers can carry right away?

Then my minimalist streak kicks in again, which would love to see some reduction in all the material chaos with three children. Do we really need that?
Of course the dear child needs a carrier bag for snacks and gym kit, no question. But does it have to be a new bag that is replaced two years later by a rucksack for first grade? And: isn't a rucksack ergonomically much better for the back anyway?
I'm still undecided. So far, my daughter hasn't expressed any wishes. The orange light strip is currently her pride and joy, which she plans to take to Chindsgi in August.
What do you think? Does she need a kindergarten bag? Or would a suitable rucksack do?
