School learning doesn't really suit me; I'm good with my hands and enjoy doing practical work. That's why I can hardly wait to start my apprenticeship as a solar installer. I was the first in my year to sign the apprenticeship contract after I had a second taster session at my future training company.
That's something nobody expected. My transition to secondary school was very difficult; at times I was completely blocked and couldn't go to school anymore. Step by step, I found my way back, thanks in part to my girlfriend Sarina, with whom I've now been together for two and a half years.
My girlfriend and I motivated each other, which was a great blessing for both of us.
We are in the same class and went through the whole career choice process together. We always motivated each other, which was very fortunate for both of us. This was also reflected directly in my grades; despite the stress , I kept getting better and better.
However, my new employer wasn't just interested in my school report. He liked my attitude and my commitment during the trial period. This showed me that anything is possible, even with a Sek B qualification. It's not just your performance that counts when looking for an apprenticeship, but also your personality.
