«It's cooler to make things yourself instead of buying them»
I tell
«Dancing, singing, drawing, playing with Playmobil - there are lots of things I really enjoy doing. But the one thing I enjoy the most is crafting. I think I got that from my mum, who used to do crafts with me and my brother when we were really little. She says I always wanted to join in, she almost became an artist herself. I love going to the craft shop and we also have lots of things to make at home. I don't even know where I get the ideas from, they're usually just there. I built myself a Playmobil house a while ago and I'm constantly coming up with new things. It's much cooler to make things myself instead of buying them. Because then I can make them exactly how I want them. For example, I thought that a few nice cushions would fit on the sofa I made for the Playmobil house. Then I think: Ah, I still have this great fabric, let's say with elephants. I learnt how to sew at school, I can still do that. So I sewed a few little cushions. Or placemats. If I don't know how to do something, I look for videos on the internet that explain it in detail. I also make other things, not just for Playmobil, but Playmobil is a lot of fun. For a long time I had the idea of making a Playmobil film myself. There are a few channels on YouTube that I think are great. So I gave it a go and made my first film last September, and I've now made seven. I shot the last one during the sports holidays, which was about skiing. I taught myself everything. My parents say they can't help me with it. But that's okay, I can do it. I film, take photos where I can't get in well with the camera, edit the film, record the voices, edit over the double voices, add filters and all that stuff. That's a lot of fun for me. I also don't work with a script, I memorise everything in my head. It's important to be well prepared so that you have everything ready when filming and don't have to search for individual parts. I practise the conversations a few times before I record them. I really enjoy it and I think I can keep doing it for a while - I certainly have enough ideas.»
