«Help, my daughter is hiding her school grades!»

One question - three opinions
Our daughter is 12 and lies to us about homework and exam marks. She hasn't given us any exam papers to sign for eight weeks. When we asked her, she admitted that she hadn't said anything out of fear (her grades have plummeted). We are at a complete loss - what do you recommend?
