Where little and big bookworms meet

Children can listen to stories and browse through books together at various festivals and events in Switzerland. An overview of the most important events in the coming weeks.

Abraxas Festival, 4 and 5 November, Zug

At the annual Central Switzerland Children's and Youth Literature Festival, the raven Abraxas whisks visitors away into the magical world of stories. Here, children of all ages experience their favourite authors and literary artists from Switzerland and abroad up close: at readings and workshops, they read, sing, puzzle, make things, laugh and marvel together . www.abraxas-festival.ch

Swiss Storytelling Night, 10 November, various venues

Every second Friday in November, various libraries, bookshops, schools and other institutions invite children to share a storytelling experience. This year, young and old gather under the motto «Courageous, courageous!»: children listen to heroic stories, tackle adventurous reading courses and perhaps even sleep out alone. www.sikjm.ch
