2001

Six months after the establishment of the Elternsein Foundation, the first issue of Fritz+Fränzi is published on 3 September - with the headline «Children at risk of poverty». The second issue follows in November. «That's enough now! When children push us to our limits». Editor-in-chief from the very beginning is Sabine Danuser.

2002

Six issues of Fritz+Fränzi are published in the second year after its foundation. There is a wide variety of topics: «Raven parents», «The dangers of road traffic», «Role models», «Sexuality». The cover «Eat or die» on the subject of eating disorders in young people causes a stir.

2003

The editorial team tackles several sensitive topics: "My last will and testament - when young people no longer want to live" is one of them. Other headlines: "Child incident", "Stupid and cheeky" and "Single parenting". The most spectacular cover of the year follows in December with the cover story "Expanded consciousness".

2004

"Partnership: When you become strangers" is one of the headlines. Other topics: "Pocket money", "Giftedness", "Friendships". In the 3rd year after its foundation, a school topic makes it onto the cover of Fritz+Fränzi for the first time: "Vision School".

2005

The editorial team tries out new approaches to cover design. The topic "Youth violence" is illustrated with a picture of an oil-smeared bird on the beach. For the cover story "How much our sons and daughters cost us", the photographer puts a piggy bank costume on a child. Other cover topics: "Career choice", "School anxiety", "Sexual abuse".

2006

The first issue of the year is entitled "Feindbild Lehrer". Other cover stories: "Right-wing radicalism - no thanks", "Education - test what's important!", "Class & race - factors in equal opportunities" and "Young people get intoxicated". The editorial team concludes the year with the title "Puberty - Sorry, I've gone mad for a few years". The topic of "Puberty" will be a recurring theme for R+D over the coming years.

2007

The first issue of Fathers is published in January. The appearance changes with the second issue of the year: the F+F logo now takes up almost half the page of the cover. The headlines read: "Having children is worthwhile", "Certified mum", "School building architecture" and "Grandparents". Odile Burger takes over as editor-in-chief.

2008

Fritz+Fränzi wins a prize for the first time: a pronzene award in each of the categories "Photos" and "Advertisements", presented by the Art Directors Club Switzerland. In the January issue, the editorial team addresses the topic of "Balancing work and family life". Over the coming years, the editorial team will repeatedly explore the question: How is it possible to juggle a job and a family? In September, Thomas Schlickenrieder takes over as publishing director. The last cover of the year shows the Knie family with the headline "Successful family clans".

2009

"Teacher violence: alarming figures on bullying" is a headline on the January cover. Other cover stories: "Holidays in sight", "Addicted parents", "Suicide - the last resort". At the end of the year, the editorial team puts the topic of "Computer games" on the cover - it is the first of many cover stories on the topic of "Media use".

2010

This year, the editorial team is producing ten issues of Fritz+Fränzi for the first time. It starts with the cover story "Into the distance" on the subject of "Exchange year". Other headlines: "What is to become of us?", "Dance of hormones", "Haunted by fear" and "Patchwork - the fine line to happiness". The publishing house and editorial team move from Josefstrasse 142 to Dufourstrasse 97 in Zurich, with Leo Truniger taking over as editor-in-chief for one issue.

2011

"Parents at the limit" is the headline in the first issue of the year, followed by "Violence in the family". Other key topics: "Fear of school", "Children's souls in need" and "Children's rights - in the interests of the child". The first monothematic Fritz+Fränzi is published in the middle of the year. Topic: Sexuality. Evelin von Arx becomes editor-in-chief.
