«There was a phase when I was less motivated»
"I like to draw one eye. Yes, really just one, close up, I can do that much better than two eyes. I draw the base in pencil and then colour it in with coloured pencils. Depending on the style, it takes between ten minutes and an hour. I also like to draw different animals or landscapes.
My mum draws a lot, I've always been fascinated by it, which is why I started doing it. But at the moment I don't have much time to draw, because I'm concentrating on my hobby, football.
I used to play football with my brother and a few friends in the evenings in our old school building.
I've always been interested in sport in general, I just never really knew what I wanted to do. My older brother is also very sporty, he plays handball, so I always enjoyed watching the matches.
I used to play football with my brother and a few friends in the evenings in our old school building, which made me super happy. Nevertheless, I took a hip-hop course with two friends during the holidays, which I also thought was cool and fun. Then I saw another football match and I knew: that's what I want to do.
I've been playing for FC Oerlikon /Polizei ZH for five years now, currently with the D-junior girls. When it's not the pandemic, we train three times a week, and we also have one tournament or match a week. I actually like playing in all positions, but my favourite ones are forward and defence.
You can score goals up front, it's a great experience when everyone cheers you on. In defence, I usually play with my best friend, we're a great team. At the moment, I have the feeling that I'll be able to do that for quite a while. There was a phase when I was less motivated to train, but I carried on anyway. And now I'm really enjoying it again.
We've had a new trainer for about two years now and I'm learning a lot with him. I notice that I'm making progress, I'm faster and can do more tricks. The crossover and the scissors, for example, are two basic tricks that are extremely effective. As much as I love football, it's not going to be my main job. Instead, I could well imagine being a police officer. It's very exciting and you also have to be very athletic."
