Bucking the trend: while many newspapers and magazines are reaching fewer and fewer readers, the Swiss parenting magazine Fritz+Fränzi continues to grow, with 250,000 readers per issue – more than ever before in its 24-year history. The widest readership – the total number of people who read at least two issues per year – rose to 589,000 readers. This is confirmed by the latest figures from the Mach Basic study, which is published twice a year by Wemf AG for advertising market research.
With a substantial increase of 14,000 readers per issue compared to the survey conducted a year ago, the popular science magazine has recorded its largest growth since its launch in 2001.
A look back shows that within ten years, the readership of Switzerland's leading parenting guide has grown by a total of 83,000 people. The monthly magazine is one of the few print titles in Switzerland that is constantly gaining readers.
Readers of Fritz+Fränzi pick up each of the ten issues an average of three times. The average reading time per issue is 42 minutes, with around 80 per cent of each issue being read in its entirety.
On behalf of the Elternsein Foundation, publisher of the Swiss parenting magazine Fritz+Fränzi, and the editorial team, we would like to thank our numerous content and advertising partners, our freelance authors and, of course, you, dear readers, for your loyalty, praise and criticism.
