A weekend on Motta Naluns
Experience
Three themed trails lead hikers through unspoilt nature with clear mountain streams, colourful alpine meadows and rocky mountain landscapes. On the «Flurina and the little wild bird» adventure trail, which is suitable for pushchairs, the well-known fairy tale can be actively experienced at ten stations. And with a completed Flurina Pass, all little mountain hikers even receive a small souvenir of the adventure.

Two new themed trails through the unique landscape on and around Motta Naluns are educational and anything but boring. Which plant colours the flower meadows a bright pink? Which plant can be used to recognise fens? Where can you find the impressive and rare Alpenbergscharte? Can you actually eat asparagus peas and alpine lentils? The hiking routes are mapped with the Flower Walks app and will turn the curious into little experts.
The third themed trail takes you on an exciting geological journey. In a combination of illustrated panels and digital immersion, you can find out how the dinosaur tracks came to be on Piz S-chalambert, why the «Lower Engadin Window» is visited by geologists from all over the world - and much more about the history, minerals and rocks of the mountains around Motta Naluns.
For those who prefer to explore the mountain landscape on two wheels, we recommend the 10-kilometre scooter descent from Motta Naluns via Prui and Ftan back to Scuol.

Or a varied bike tour along the panoramic trail towards Scuol and the Ftan Trail Centre, which opens this spring. If the ascent on the pedals is too strenuous, you can ride to the Ftan valley station and take the chairlift back up - because younger bikers in particular often can't get enough.

Enjoy
Directly at the Motta Naluns mountain station, the family-friendly La Motta mountain restaurant with its large panoramic terrace, playground, goat enclosure and running bike course invites you to enjoy a relaxed get-together. If you prefer something a little more adventurous, make yourself comfortable at one of the barbecue areas and bring your own stick bread and cervelats.

You can round off a bike tour with a dip in the cool waters of the Lai Padnal bathing lake in Ftan. In addition to green sunbathing areas and some wooden loungers, there are also two fire pits here.
From 17 June to 12 August 2022, guests can look forward to a special highlight every Friday: the Scuol gondola lift will run continuously until 10.15 pm and you can really enjoy a warm summer evening in the mountains.
