Bear watching, climbing at the rope park, hiking or cycling along themed trails to the most beautiful peaks: the Grisons mountain village of Arosa is perfectly suited to families and offers plenty of fun, games and nature experiences for young and old alike.
Experience
The experience begins with the journey itself: from Chur, the Rhaetian Railway takes you up to 1,800 metres above sea level. The winding journey to Arosa offers picture-perfect views of the Alpine landscape with its mountains and gorges – for the best views, we recommend a seat on the right-hand side. Younger guests can enjoy the roughly one-hour journey in the children's carriage, where Bärenland-themed décor, children's books and a quiz ensure an entertaining trip.
Our youngest guests will have a great time at the Arosa Bikeschool, on the Eichhörnliweg trail or in the Bärenbande supervised children's programme. For older explorers, we recommend the numerous themed trails, the Bärenbike treasure hunt on the trails or the crime mystery adventure, which lead to panoramic mountain peaks, fragrant alpine meadows and crystal-clear mountain lakes.

Arosa Bärenland, located near the midway station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car, is an exciting and educational destination. It provides a species-appropriate habitat for four bears, currently, who were rescued from poor living conditions. Nestled in the mountain landscape with its meadows, forests, rocks and streams, the animals can return to their natural behaviour in their new home. The bears can be observed from the visitor platform or the suspension bridges on the adventure trail.

Arosa is also fully geared towards families when it comes to events: every year – this year on 23 July – the Coop Kinderland Openair takes place in the heart of the village. From 4 to 6 August, Family Bike Vibes invites young and old alike to explore the trails. This weekend is all about games, fun and sport, offering a wide range of activities for all ages.

Day ticket for Arosa Bärenland including gondola ride: Adults CHF 20, children CHF 10. Day ticket without gondola ride: Adults CHF 12, children CHF 6. With the Arosa Card, including gondola ride: Adults CHF 5, children CHF 3.
