These are the professions of the future
Fact checker, offline therapist, digital undertaker: what sounds like science fiction are professions that could become important in the future - or already are.
To avoid any misunderstandings, the following list of future professions is neither representative nor scientifically based. Nor does it claim to be exhaustive. It lists activities that cover emerging needs and utilise new opportunities.
This in no way means that professions not mentioned have no future. Many professions in the health and care sector, in the social and education sectors, in security services and in the skilled trades will still be in demand in 20 years' time. The activities presented here are taken from international studies and texts on the subject of «professions of the future». Some are already being carried out by professionals today, but are not (yet) recognised as professions, but rather specialisations.
