«I want to make customers happy with my ideas»
For a long time, I didn't know what profession I wanted to learn. Because we've always had pets, I had a taster as a veterinary practice assistant; because I like baking, I tried baking. Neither convinced me. My mum is a qualified florist.
The interplay of colours, contrasts and seasonal flowers inspires me every day anew.
She recommended that I try out this profession. It turned out to be the perfect decision. I'm a creative person, I like to paint, I often reorganise my room and rearrange my terrariums. I currently have poison dart frogs and crabs.
Profession florist: a game with colours
I really enjoy tying bouquets, creating vase fillings and designing decorations with dried flowers. Playing with colours, contrasts and seasonal flowers inspires me anew every day.
I have also recently started advising customers. I try to understand their wishes, make my own suggestions and hope to make them happy with the result. I'm thinking about doing a vocational baccalaureate and going to university after my apprenticeship, but I'm not sure which direction to take yet. I can also well imagine running my own flower shop later on. Over the next few years, I want to gain experience and develop my skills.
