A weekend in Scuol
The gondola lift from Scuol or the chairlift from the neighbouring village of Ftan glides slowly towards the winter sports fun. All around you are the snow-covered mountains and below you the larch trees, among which you can sometimes even spot deer, hares or foxes.
Once you arrive on the Motta Naluns high plateau, the fresh mountain air and the often bright blue sky drive the last sleep from your eyes and the day can begin full of anticipation.
Experience
Skiing for young and old
In the Kinderland right next to the Motta Naluns mountain station, the little ones learn their first turns in the snow. The magic carpets take them comfortably around and over the first small obstacles, accompanied and guided by the dedicated ski and snowboard instructors from the local ski and snowboard schools.
The 70 kilometres of pistes attract the more winter sports-minded members of the family to the large ski area. Everyone gets their money's worth here. While some take their turns comfortably on the wide pistes, others test their skills on the fast descents. Freestylers practise their jumps and slides in the popular snow park.
In the family-friendly Scuol snow sports area, it's easy to find your way around and meet up quickly.
The magic of Motta Naluns can really be savoured and enjoyed on the dream piste in the village of Sent. The wonderful views of the mountains, villages and countryside and the 10-kilometre-long piste leave plenty of time to swing down the slopes. The free ski bus takes skiing enthusiasts from Sent back to Scuol or onwards to Ftan.
The great thing is that even if everyone is out and about as they please, it's easy to find your way around the family-friendly Scuol snow sports area and quickly meet up again - whether at one of the chairlifts or for a meal together in a mountain restaurant.
Sledging fun from Prui to Ftan
The toboggan run from Prui to Ftan offers carefree and fast-paced fun. The 3.5 kilometre run takes you down into the valley through racy bends and small woods. Every bend mastered, every little hill is accompanied by laughter and shouts from the children. So it's no wonder that the toboggans go straight back up again.
Winter hike with snowball fight
Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can enjoy a short winter hike along the panoramic trail from the Scuol mountain station to Prui or further down into the valley to Ftan. The wide, well-groomed path leads through a fairytale winter landscape, past snow-covered forests and with wonderful views of the Engadin. It is almost inevitable that the ultimate snowball fight will not be long in coming.
Enjoy
